The Asian guy who brought the lawsuit just made it harder for himself and other minorities to get into college all because he bought into the racist idea that black people shouldn't be allowed in college. 9 minutes ago, Domination said: I’m fearful for the precedent this sets but I’m not entirely against it, to be honest, at least in theory. If a business were to deny services to any other protected group of people, I would go out of my way to avoid using their services and advise others to do the same. Do I agree that we as a community should take our dollars elsewhere? Yes, of course. But that is easy to say when I live in a big city and there are a number of places I can go to instead. That is not the case all across the country. The precedent this sets could very easily result in thousands, if not millions of LGBTQ people being shut out of their small town's businesses with nowhere else to turn. There is only one way to fix SCOTUS, but I will not type the words out of fear of an investigation being opened up.
James_Dean Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 American politics is beyond a joke right now, but couldn't this decision still be used/ applied against cis people as well?
Elusive Chanteuse Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 Can this be used to discriminate against Christians if you are a gay business owner?
Baby Judas Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 this is wild, and on the last day of Pride month. what the hell is going on with that country? are you okay my American gay friends?
Solaria Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 I’m just gonna say it. The Republican party shouldn’t be allowed to exist in America. 3
nadiamendell Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 I thought this was already settled with that cake baker decision a few years back. I'm confused. What's different about this?

Cesar Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 that’s fine. i’ll start discriminating against christians. so now what?
Gwendolyn Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 If the Supreme court can't even stand against gay couples, I truly worry about how safe same sex marriage is.
Blue Monday Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 This court is such a joke and anyone still supporting the Republican party doesn't care about improving the quality of life in this joke of a country, they only care about discriminating against anyone that doesn't look, sound or "believe" like they do

Aston Martin Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 We should start a "religion" where one of the core tenants is refusing service to bigots (or the Satanic Temple can add that to theirs). **** this court. 1

KatyPrismSpirit Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 gen z and gen alpha are also becoming more conservative and religious in Europe. Especially amongst boys.
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted June 30, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted June 30, 2023 In spite of how shitty america has always been I was always happy that my grandma, a lesbian, was finally allowed to marry her wife. Now that she’s in her mid 80s it sucks to see all this progress being taken away when so much had been made for her 2
