I really hope she ditches all the ballads for her next album and goes full on pop rock or pop punk. I know this might be an unpopular opinion but I think Olivia shines way better with heavy guitar, uptempo driven songs. She has such a fun, self aware attitude on those songs like all-american ***** and ballad of a homeschooled girl. I think Vampire is great, because it builds and is written well, but her other ballads really have a tendency to drag on and not really leave an impression in my opinion

I am brand new here but wanted my first post in this thread! I love GUTS, it's been on repeat for weeks.

Fave three atm (keeps changing): BIR, BOAHSG and Vampire (still love this).

Am I the only one who is lowkey worried about Olivia's future career? We only got one solid hit this era.

10000% agree but people seem to prefer her as a ballad girl. Everything pop rock but good4u has flopped or done mediocre compared to her slow stuff.

I also agree - I think this is likely the direction she's going. More alt/rock than mainstream pop. Perhaps won't be as big commercially, but it doesn't seem like she's driven by that.

I don't think she has a particular direction.  Both of her albums are filled with many different sounds.  You can't put her in a particular box/lane.

Also not worried about this era only having one hit.  She has built a massive fanbase.

Vampire remains a classic and her best song off the record though; it’s grown on me sooo much over the past few months.

I hope they do something to bundle all the bonus tracks together with the main album, to soft relaunch the album with a new single not yet on streaming. GHB and BIR are both not doing that well, and I think they should move on from those before the era loses steam.

I'm guessing she'll reach 2 x Platinum... Damn! Half of Sour's sales.

Yeah I've noticed this too (the downvotes are telling as well :ahh:). Her slow songs seem to be more popular on TikTok as well.

Still need her to limit the ballads to 1 or 2 on the next album though, idgaf. Go full Under My Skin, Godlivia :clap3:

That’s my guess too. Although I can’t relate to the GP. GUTS has been constantly on rotation for me since it dropped. I have a feeling most people like heartbroken ballad/acoustic olivia rather than pop rock angsty-edgy olivia, though. Since these days both Deja Vu and Traitor score bigger days than her two biggest songs, you never know long term with Ms Rodrigo. But she’s clearly one ballad away from smashing again
