I love that lyric. Just a vaguely off, sideways metaphor that really defies explanation. What does it even mean? Fair skin the colour of pastry? Buttery like pastry? Delicious like pastry? Plump like pastry? Is she doughy? Do you want to put her skin in your mouth? Does she have exzema, so her skin is flakey and textured like pastry?  

Is it even intended as a compliment? A diss? 

Or is it more meta, and it's satire about the kinds of atrocious metaphors that people use in love songs, and the ridiculous, infantilising and nonsensical things women often get compared to?

Maybe it's just an intentionally weird and off-putting comparison intended to characterise the viewpoint character as an obsessive creep?

It’s relatively common with big releases if the first track is generally regarded as pretty good or interesting, especially if there’s not a brand new single being promoted on release. It does still mean people are liking that track a lot though, not like it’s only there because it’s first. I would have expected Vampire to be leading at this time, usually. A few tracks are pretty clearly out of order here so listeners are definitely picking out some favorites.

I've tried several times with this album and I just can't get with it. I love deja vu and DL but I'm now starting to think those are outliers for her music generally. I wanted more of that and less of the good 4 u sound, which I hate.
