YellowRibbon Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 (edited) Listened to it all the way through again and yeah, this is a step-down "narratively" wise. The productions are crispier but I don't think it balances out with how uninteresting these tracks are thematically. Edited September 8, 2023 by YellowRibbon 1 1 4

Lordespath Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 I feel like by now lots of people have heard at least one of the deluxe tracks from the vinyl. Why is there so little info about them?

hallucinate Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 it’s a great follow up to sour (and better) not the biggest fan of pop-rock overall but still i liked a few songs

It can perfectly work when you are a new artist that people are recently discovering (like Olivia with Sour), but when you are an established superstar, as I believe she already is, everybody who might be interested in your music will listen to every song on release day and it's very difficult to grow from that. You need TikTok and a bit of luck (or a remix, but I don't think she will do that)
georgechxng Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 “The Forty Five” gave it a 90/100 https://x.com/statsrodrigo/status/1699937701753921613?s=46

Agree to disagree. I think that while Sour had less sources of inspiration, it felt more emotionally fulfilling (even taking in consideration the juvenile lyrical content, it had its charm). I found myself bored at some points during my two full listens (looking at you "la(c)zy") while on SOUR, even 1SF,3SB was cute for a minute.
dyktatuob Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 i tried but im not really not feeling the album. it's on the same vein as sour production wise although the rock driven tracks are more loud in this and the ballads on sour being way better. the lyrics imo are a downgrade from sour which is sad since she must've had many experiences in the music industry as a new artist and her personal life that could've pushed her pen further but it is what it is. anyways my top 3 are american all-*****, bad idea right and make the bed 2
Gladiator Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Been listening to it all day. No skips! A great complimentary and follow up album to Sour.
drivers license Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 logical being the ballad pushed on NFM when making the bed is right there

Kimi Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 (edited) Generic indie girl voice during ballads is unbearable Edited September 8, 2023 by Kimi
Yog Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 This is like TEN times better than Sour “get him back” is smash hit potential!!!
