To call the charts these past few months a total snoozefest would be an understatement. "Fast Car" and "Calm Down" floating to the top 3 because nothing is even close to making any sort of big impact on the chart is proof that the charts need to be shaken up a bit. The Billboard 200 is just as bad but at least, that gets shaken a bit more than the Hot 100. Imagine the chart being so weak that Morgan Wallen and Taylor Swift both have 2 albums in the top 10 for months and months. It’s been hard to get excited about the charts for a good while now because you already know what the top 10 will be. 1

pride4jc1222 Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 In all seriousness, cleaning up this mess we have on the Hot 100 starts with Pop radio gutting out the songs that have run their course, like Flowers, Calm Down, and Creepin. There is no reason why a cover of a Mario Winans song that peaked in February is still in the Top 10 heading into July. 1 1
UnusualBoy Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Morgan really wants the longest #1 song of the decade, huh? 3 more weeks and it will tie AIW... and he already has the longest #1 album of the decade

At least we have a few album bombs guaranteed to happen. Lil Uzi Vert should shake things up and Olivia will in September
