poki Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 2nd quarter in a row. 2023Q1: Lost 2.4M 2023Q2: Lost 4M https://www.statista.com/statistics/1095372/disney-plus-number-of-subscribers-us/ So what's the plan Mickey Mouse
FolkLover1989 Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 Disney+ doesn't have one interesting series since forever
Miss Fortune Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 I only had my subscription for the Kardashians and I decided I will just renew it for 1 month every year and binge it lol
Gorjesspazze9 Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 (edited) Makes sense tho. I only keep it for Marvel and the occasional days I want to be nostalgic and watch Kim Possible🤭 It’s kinda just another expense with rarely any new content I care for Edited June 22, 2023 by Gorjesspazze9
slas Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 Disney's in shambles. Movies bombing. Subscription service bleeding users. They're over I fear.
DonnaSpring Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 streaming has always been a waste of money, real tv is better 1
babyforlife Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 that's why i still get free disney+ subscription every month from my internet provider... and i barely use it.
godmess Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 As they should period period should they as doirep doirep!
elevate Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 It's primarily because they lost a cricket deal with their Indian licenser. Also true for the last drop. And it will probably result in more losses. Has nothing to do with their Marvel or Star Wars content, which, despite being banal, is probably one of the main reasons people keep ADDING the subscription. Context is important. 1
Andraslop Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 (edited) Maybe they need to stop being WOKE go back to being neural Edited June 22, 2023 by Andraslop 2 12
ugo Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 They focused too much on the diversity/wokeness instead on focusing on the actual content they put out. 2 1 5
Johnny Jacobs Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 i got three months free of charge and I cancelled it after a week. who would pay for this mesS? they release 2 shows a year and even then they're all marvel related they really thought this lame excuse of content will gain them subs?>
Gossip_Boy Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 Remember when people were acting like it was gonna put Netflix out of business? Good times 2

poki Posted June 22, 2023 Author Posted June 22, 2023 I'm not subscribed because my wifi is TERRIBLE for streaming so I might as well pull up the DVDs / Blurays that I have cause they don't rely on internet. Also they just released a few new 4K blurays (Toy Story 1 for example) so looks like they are fully aware a proper internet connection is unfortunately still a luxury in the US.

It’s become just as expensive as linear/regular TV nowadays, way too oversaturated. The others will prob try to pull a Netflix and start charging more for people who allow other people to access their account since they’re losing subscribers but Netflix is and has always been the MPG the others won’t be able to pull that off. 3

Breakdown Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 I only have it because I got a free year for booking a disneyland paris trip and honestly, I don't use it
Assassin Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 They are losing subs in India where they lost the rights to IPL cricket tournament
Valentine Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 I love Disney+. There’s always something of quality to watch. Currently binging Pose.
