da current state of da chart is airplay + sales + streams

back when Madonna was charting it was airplay + sales from designated R&B record stores

She should be on her knees thanking The Weeknd, she owes him.

Yeah, would've also thought to see an entry of either BS or HC over LaV :gaycat7:

All-time Hot 100 artists

#2 Madonna (after The Beatles)

#43 The Weeknd

I don't think Madonna needs a song charting on BB anymore. She spent the first 22 years of her career only smashing with solo material and continued doing well almost 30 years into her respective career. Whatever happens now on the charts is just a mere bonus. And why shouldn't she chase that bonus? She can snatch any collab she wants because she's Madonna and her collaborators are always gonna feel honored to oblige.

Also, for all the remixes and tracks she's released in the past couple of years - none of them were singles. Her last actual US single was Crave in 2019 and the one prior to that was Living For Love in 2014. That's a total of 2 US singles in 10 years. :rip:

She was on her knees, she took him there, then she stood up and continued walking :gaycat4:

Yeah poor Madonna. If it wasn't for The Weeknd no one would know her name.

i am surprised Borderline did not chart at r&b . of her early songs i would think that would have fit that format.
