Are we thinking it can hold onto top 10 now it has been added to HHUK?

When are we getting our first performance babe ?

Delighted to see this is (slowly) climbing Apple Music and reached a new peak of #27

Spotify will take weeks and weeks to catch up, please be patient. You can ring the alarm bells in about 10 weeks time if it’s still N/A. Please do also remember that Sunday updates are ALWAYS the lowest!

#4 in todays mids

Physical - 7,396
Download - 1,707
Streaming - 3,623
Video - 216

Total: 12,942

The amount in streaming is worrying for the chances of top 10 :gaycat7: may the signed CD restock help her.

Spotify monthly listeners are up to 522,620

If you’re a Spotify user, please do try and stream from Hot Hits UK, interacting with the song on the playlist will hopefully help it rise

This is still being played a lot on Capital atm, fingers crossed BBC R1 comes through this week

Leigh has so far been to and promoted the song on Hits Radio, Heart FM, Capital FM, BBC Radio 1 and she’s on BBC Radio 2 this week and promo recorded with Kiss FM too. She’s literally just missing BBC R1 Xtra and Capital Xtra and she’s basically covered every possible radio station. That is a lot of radio promo, let’s hope it pays off for her! She deserves it!

I’m still loving the song and find it’s such an ear worm, can’t help but sing along every time it comes on shuffle.

Some positive news! It’s playlist reach on Spotify has increased after being added to Hot Hits UK and It’s a Hit!

I’m guessing it’ll finish somewhere around the following:

Physical; 8,000

Download; 2,000

Streaming; 5,000

Video; 600

Total; 15.6k~

I guess it’ll mostly come down to how many more physical CDs she can shift? I can’t see downloads or streaming increasing by *a lot*

With the sales of the Top 5:

1 Dave & Central Cee - Sprinter (24,136)
2 Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding - Miracle (19,470)
3 J Hus feat. Drake - Who Told You (17,111)
4 Leigh-Anne - Don't Say Love (12,942) *
5 Jazzy - Giving Me (11,090)

Just watching Leigh’s BBC R1 segment.. I know this is slightly off topic, but since when did Perrie grow up in Weymouth? I could have sworn she grew up in South Shields dddd

I'd give up on the Top 10. Last week #10 sold over 25k and she's only at 1/2 that figure. She'd have to continue selling the same amount she did Friday and Saturday which obviously is not going to happen

That would put her at #20-23 :biblio:

I mean, she has recently restocked her physical CDs so if she has enough avid fans then she could maybe push another couple of thousand CDs max? I don’t know how many have been restocked, but I assume that majority of physical and digital sales will have been incredibly frontloaded. That’s why I’ve been rather conservative with my estimate of how many more she’ll do.

Streaming *might* pick up a little bit more now that it’s added on to Hot Hits UK? I think it’ll take a few more weeks to see any real impact though. It’s streaming numbers so far will be heavily inflated by how high the first day was compared to the following 2 days, so unless she sees a drastic Spotify boost I don’t see massive gains for the rest of the week there.

I’d obviously love to be proven wrong and underestimate her and see her do closer to 18/19k ish, but I’m trying to be realistic. She’s got so much room to grow in streams that even if she does debut around #20ish I wouldn’t be too worried.

'Looks like most white british girls with a tan?' 'How are you racist if you're trying to be black?'

First of, are you even black? If you are a person of colour you would know being black is a completely different experience to being any other ethnic minority, we have different cultures, history and issues - so that doesn't hold much weight at all. Secondly, 'Looks like most white british girls with a tan?' - I grew up around Essex (Aka the capital of the 'chav' and the 'TOWNIE' culture, and no - her tan is more darker than majority of the girls I saw living there and the fact so many people thought she was biracial until the 'Boys' controversy says alot. Most of the girls would have oranger complexions at best, not a colour that literally looked as dark as her 2 WOMEN OF COLOUR bandmates.

Thirdly, 'Also how are you racist if you're trying to be black?'

How IGNORANT must you be to say this if you actually listened to any of the backlash she received from Black British people, MNEK and Leigh-Anne herself. Trying to 'be black' is insulting especially if you consider what us black people go through everyday in society. She as a white english women who is extremely privileged, able to wear her dark tan and 'try to be black' alongside her curly hair, dreads and sing about her love of 'bad' boys (singing about how hood or taboo, alongside black men in her music video) and wash it all off at the end of the day and live life without racism. White black women and black men are literally seen as criminals and 'ghetto' by British society if we wear our cultural things. She's able to go back to being her white, pale self after call the cosplay is done while us black people aren't able to do that and have to face the racism and colourism that comes with our skin tone. There are ways to appreciate black culture without doing cosplay i.e Jojo and she never apologised for this.

It's also insulting to think me and @MrLovett, two british black people are looking for 'fake outrage' when we are bringing up a real issue that affects us EVERYDAY. There is no 'fake outrage' when it comes to bringing up racism that was perpetuated against mixed women. Also we can multi task and call out everyone who blackfishes

This is an amazing post, but just to clarify - I am white. I'm just supporting as best as I can, but conscious that I don't want there to be any confusion over my place in this discussion. :heart2:

OT: Glad to see the song finally added to HHUK, but it's insanely annoying it's that low. :ace: I really don't understand the discrepancy between the AM and Spotify playlisting.

I thought this too! I think she only lived in Weymouth for a couple of years judging by her wiki page.
