Cbreezy Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Song is "good". And crucially "good" enough to be a UK hit. Imma need her to lean in to her MPG a bit more. We don't want conceptual dancing, we want choreo-choreo. That exact video, but with better choreo would have elevated it all a bit more.
Maroonx Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Loved the video and the song was quite good as well. I am more intrigued about the 'to be continued'... I want more info on the next single/video :p
KatyPrismSpirit Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 im sorry but this song is really lazy and doesnt stand out at all. the uk garage sounds outdated. very much so giving forever 21 soundtrack
blown away Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 It's a decent song, I would definitely listen to it when it comes on the radio. But I wouldn't go out of my way to play it on my own. It doesn't give me instant smash hit vibes, hopefully it still does well though. Much better than Jesy's debut though. That one looked promising but turned out a mess.
DemnisBreezy Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Ageists at Radio 1 already coming through. New Doja Cat single straight to A-List, Leigh-Anne nowhere to be seen however
T.O.A.D.S. Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 The song is cute... it sounds like it was tailor made for Capital/Kiss... I wanted her to come harder for her first solo song. It'll probably be a cute UK hit.
KKKIMO92 Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 This is a bit monotonous, but still a decent single. Hope this becomes a top 10 hit for her.

Radio definitely has an ageist issue for sure, but IIRC they're equally as snooty / hazing when it comes to Pop band stars going solo or talent show acts.

LovaticSwiftie Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Didn’t she say that the last chorus would be explosive? Apart from some ad-lips, there’s not a huge difference and nothing explosive about it.
Red Velvet Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Song is a bit of a chore to listen to. A Radio filler song
State of Grace. Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 It's...fine but not something I'd listen to a lot. Sounds like any of those dance songs that would smash in the UK. I'm rooting for all 3 Little Mix queens to do well so hope its a hit for her.

EtherealCat Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 very uk chart fodder, its not bad but expected more from her
Laura Palmer Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 This deserves to be a hit, it’s perfect for a lead single. There’s no reason why the UK shouldn’t eat this up.
Augmented Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 A snooze Sounds like all the clubby, garage tinged radio fodder over here just blended into one.

They’ve really been working their whole lives.

It's safe and a good way to set the foundation for when she leans into the more R&B/Pop sound that she's hinted at really wanting to do. I couldn't see the UK, especially now when electronic and hip-hop music are the leading genres, giving Leigh Anne a hit with an R&B song. I mean just look at how FLO are doing on the charts with undeniable R&B…it’s a tough landscape. Edited June 16, 2023 by BOOMBAYAH
musicman Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 It’s funny to see people say it’s generic or uk radio music. As if she didn’t come from a highly commercial uk radio girlband?? what did you expect 1
americanshameless Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 It’s good, looking forward to the afrobeat song in the end
Crashed Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 (edited) Does anyone know which postal service ships the international CDs? I got a tracking number for my order but I don't know where to use it Edited June 16, 2023 by Crashed
tbhmatt Posted June 16, 2023 Author Posted June 16, 2023 It doesn’t appear to have cracked the UK Top 200 on Apple Music yet, it has quite a lot of playlist support on the platform
The Slayer Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Leigh-Anne says it is freeing to be solo. She wants to crack the US. She says never say never to getting back with Little Mix and give it 5 years until they are on a reunion tour. --
