Lol Oh no...wasn't aware many are saying Dua is Katy 2.0. Based on what though?! You mean the silly, grating fan wars and faux drama Katy had w/ some other A list singers around the same age and era?

 

There isn't a single damn polarizing or catty thing/vibe about Billie or Dua though! Musically or personality. Couldn't be more humble, grounded, non diva. Completely like WTF when I see those small handful on here dragging Dua.

Def. yes when talking about the UK. Horrific timing and esp. a horrific song! lol to be blocked by. Possibly the worst song & most forgettable, aged horribly this decade (at the min.)

 

But when talking the US (screech) Levitating LEGIT earned #1. That infamous week in May 2021 will forever be one of the most foul and shady in billboard history. When they went silent only to end up increasing radio points 'just enough' over the course of several days to deprive her of it.

Ariana, Justin, Taylor...a lot of the biggest artists of the past generation never hit the top position until their 4-5 era, with Dua feels like years bc she's only had 2 eras in +6 years lmao

Oh, for sure. Billboard was SO BLATANT in their rigging, it was embarrassing. They had to change a RADIO rule at the very last second to deny her the #1 and the rule got changed back once she was confirmed at #2. Biggest joke of the century. And i'm still 100% convinced it was all because she publicly supported Palestine.

Between both Billie and Dua & their stellar teams looks like they both strategically played their cards right w/ the timing here w/ everything.

 

Don't 'dislike' it but having a hard time feeling the Doja song. It's just there lol. Not hearing anything special or unique. Been there heard/done that many, maany x sound. BUT something is happening 'cause it IS clearly connecting or whatever w/ most & feels it's about to go parabolic. US, Aus., NZ, Canada it's already there. UK & Ireland just a slight lag but likely by end of week. 

 

Luckily we're basically 1/2 way through the tracking week. If this was next week think it would've been dicey for both Dua and Billie. Ya w/ cassettes they'd prob. be fine but would've def. sweated more. Barbie buzz is clearly fading now.
