I still can't get over the fact that Don't Start Now was blocked by Dance Monkey of all songs 

 

And the funny thing is: i don't even hate that song as much as other people do. But it was NOT worthy of being above Don't Start Now.

DSN was the silent slayer, it’s highkey one of the biggest female songs of the last decade (2.3B on Spotify alone) but it didn’t get its flowers on ATRL back then cause it hardly went #1 anywhere because of the blocks

 

But it’s a modern classic, undoubtedly

Oh absolutely, it's definitively a classic song, it wasn't just a "hit". Even if Dua started to flop from now on (hopefully not) she has forever put her mark on pop culture with songs like Don't Start Now and Levitating. They will be staple songs for decades to come in the same way songs like Hung Up or Toxic are.

Looks like Pop radio is pushing Vampire to take over Cruel Summer. Hoping they push Dance The Night afterward! Her 5th #1 is much deserved!  

 

She needs a redemption after they dropped Cold Heart despite just coming off of DSN/BMH/Levitating. And the fact that Cold Heart was smashing so hard on streaming/sales despite radio flopping.
