The predictions seem low balling this. Its current escalating would put it top 10. Unless it tanks during the week.

Which is funny to me since 2021 was barely 2 years ago, it's not like she hasn't had a hit in 10 years :rip:

Sweetest Pie and Potion weren't really HER songs to begin with so i was never afraid of their underperformance (after all Ellie just got a hit with Calvin but her own solo album completely bombed). The DL3 lead single will be the real test of what direction her career will take commercially (and artistically).

Even then I consider Sweetest Pie a hit: it peaked at #15 on the hot 100, charted for 21 weeks and peaked at #11 on the radio chart.

Potion did decently outside of North America so it's not like it was a total bomb :deadbanana2:

It's also important to remember that Dua is a UK pop girl, and it's not easy at all for UK pop girls to not only have a hit in America but to maintain popularity over a long period of time and have several hits (and no, Adele doesn't count because i don't see her as a "pop girl" per say but more as a singer-songwriter kind of artist). The fact that Dua managed to avoid being a one-hit wonder post-New Rules in America is already extremely impressive in itself.

2021 is barely a year 1/2+ ago. Lol Not at all a 'while'. Just a fact. If ~2.5-3 years of NO new songs/material...okay. But CH was smashing tail end of '21 into '22 (esp in the US). + Songs from FN are still saturating US radio.

May be flushed by most (myself included lol) but Sweetest Pie (early '22?) was technically a solid HIT (chart wise). Criminally, did better than CH on pop radio. :-#

Gag at Charli XCX charting with her Barbie song too :dies:

Dx the way you worded break my heart you'd think it underperformed. that song was huge too. y'all lipa's need to stop being so chart obsessed. it's giving swifty energy

don't back pedal now. she is credited on both songs so they are in fact her songs. her being a feature and being collaborations doesn't detract from that because if those 2 songs ended up being major hits you'd be having a completely different tune and you know it. ellie last album which is actually good was done so dirty. smfh

sweetest pie is a hit whether y'all stat twats want to admit that or not

potion wasn't a bomb at all. calvin hasn't been putting out quality, albums or the kind of material that's wanted from him so it performed the way that i expected it too

new rules wasn't her only hit from her debut in america though. and while she's a "uk pop girl" her rise as a popstar happened unanimously on a global scale due to new rules and then all of her collaborations that took off back to back after the fact too.

Sweetest Pie was a hit. Just not the WORLDWIDE SMASH y'all wanted it to be but that doesn't mean that the song wasn't good or that it didn't perform well. These weird projections that are being forced onto Dua since Future Nostalgia are annoying as ****

I know when one of her songs is gonna be a global hit bc she's charting in Mexico and Brazil, lmao. It is very difficult for a non-Latin artist to be in the top 200 in those countries and she is there, she is always there. :chick3::clap3:

BTW..... JUST CHECKED  Dance The Night rise +1 #29 at US Apple Music NEW PEAK

Yes worst case this will end up as big as Break My Heart (this song did really well & with a lot of longetivity) best case I don't know.... Dua songs always serve longetivity almost unpredictable how big it could be :jonny6:

I predict a top 15 peak for this. Which would be amazing. Top 10 is gonna be hard because Barbie World and now Billie's song are catching up in streams. But still, the repeak this song has is so great :jonny5:she's truly a hitmaker
