Don’t want to jinx it but I think this could have a chance to be her first US #1 if it keeps growing like her songs usually do until the movie release in July :gayalipacat4:

It's good but the production remains the same thought the whole song, there is no progression + the verses are hookier than the chorus which is not a good thing in pop music.

This is why I think Mark is not a good fit on this one nor in commercial pop music in general... This song in Ian Kirkpatrik's hands would've been so much better.

Still a solid song though, her voice remains immaculate

This. I have yet to hear the whole thing but did manage to hear additional clips. No final verdict until I hear and digest the whole thing but it's def. vibeing the way you described it.

This is obviously a well crafted disco pop song but I don't feel the urge to have it on replay.

I see it as a reminder of the great things she did with FN, but with DL3 she definitely needs to move forward. I think she knows it too and that's why this is the soundtrack for Barbie (where it fits perfectly) and not her next lead

This is a fun summer bop but it's a bit non-descript... I don't see this smashing like FN singles. I think it'll be a cute top 20 hit to ease into DL3 era

Listening to the song in full. It's absolutely PERFECT for the summer, need this to smash. :jonny5:

Just heard a sped up version on youtube. It's very... Meh. Been there, done that. But I wasn't even that hyped up to begin with

is it out yet or are y'all listening to *****

Definitely find this pretty boring. It’s the same sound from her that we’ve gotten since 2020. It’s not bad but I wouldn’t call it special. Definitely will be good for the movie promo as it’s a fun track.

The fact that the title of the song is not 'Dance the Night Away' kind of bugs me :katie:

as previously written here - I wish the chorus punched harder and the song's production wasn't as repetitive throughout.. but it's a cute lil track to close off the FN era, let's hope it's a moderate hit! :celestial4:
