Exactly. Kylie's mindset of giving the fans "what they want" isn't a healthy attitude for someone who's supposed to be in control of their artistry. Do people really believe Madonna couldn't churn out 2-3 dance albums in a row like Kylie's been doing?
Yakult Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 I love Kylie but c’mon. KMO was basically whatever demos were lying in the Roc Nation basement and the last two albums sound like they were produced on a shoestring budget. I wish she’d give us something a little more left-field and work with producers who actually care about the details. Madame X was messy, but at least it was ambitious. Honestly I think it’d be a great album if Madonna’s vocals sounded better (or were beefed up with backing vocalists like artists did in the 90s). 2

Madonna is still pushing interesting and ambitious works, they might not always land exactly perfectly but at least she tries. 2 1
M!X Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Its not like Kylie is doing something amazing either, her last above average album was Aphrodite, but yeah I guedd her visuals and era direction are better
rihannasbe$tfrnd Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 That “Padam Padam” song is EMBARASSING Madonna would have not touched that with a 6 foot pole 1 1 2

#Beautiful Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 what we're NOT gonna do is try to pit kylie and madonna fans against eachother when most if not all of them stan both kylie couldn't do what madonna is doing and madonna couldn't do what kylie is doing rn and that's perfectly fine, lets leave it at that 1
#Beautiful Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 ??? the random 4 minutes draggings too? 4 minutes is an iconic song what are you on guys
poki Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 4 Minutes is a masterpiece. Confide In Me, Where The Wild Roses Grow, Breathe, Some Kind of Bliss, Did It Again were very unexpected career moves for Kylie.

I can understand the Hard Candy slandering in general from the older gays but 4 Minutes by itself is a perfectly great Madonna single with a great memorable hook and video, I've never even seen 4 Minutes slander before on any Madonna platform
Pendulum Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 There really is no one who can compare to Kylie. Fiercely sexy yet always classy. A pop princess who's wonderfully weird. Always evolving and transforming yet unmistakably herself. Someone whose career transcends her contemporaries and those that have followed... We really don't deserve this Aphrodite ️ 5 1
Gorjesspazze9 Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Madonna just needs to put out new original music. Her remixes and nostalgia baiting is getting old. We need a new Dance album 1 1
SinnerCity Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Madonna hasn't delivered a cohesive album since Confessions and 4 Minutes is a good song but is not even top 5 of her best lead singles. Kylie consistently delivers quality and you know that sometimes her lead singles are not it, her albums are cohesive and full of gems, which is something Madonna hasn't given us since FOREVER. 2 1
bigboss Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Both queens could learn from each other. Kylie could learn to take bigger risks. Madonna could learn to listen to her fans and be punctual for her concerts.
ebaby Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 i love both of them and don't think either need to be serving what the other does they do very different things
Junlin Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 They are very different but I do think Madonna needs to take some notes from Kylie.

She hopped on a turnkey Timbaland production and a JT feature two years after it would have been exciting or innovative. It felt like she was following rather than leading as people expected her to do. Edited June 1, 2023 by DammnBaby
