Kim Petras - 'Feed the Beast'

The reviews of this album are giving transphobia. This is a VERY SOLID album. I’m really proud of her. Wish she had a song or two more that was more radio friendly but otherwise I’m bopping.

She was bound to get less acclaim as soon as Unholy became a hit, regardless of whatever she could have released. Critics loved her underdog/independent days, even Clarity would have been panned had she released it today.

It's sad that she will never deliver TOTL quality ever again but uhoh is kinda her best song in YEARS...

This is cute imo, a few bangers that I can see myself using. :clap3:

maybe i need to get used to the final version of uhoh, but the production on the leak was hitting much harder for me

I'm listening to the album now and it's actually pretty fun? It definitely did not deserve the backlash, it seems amazing to listen to while working out or getting ready to go out

I ordered a signed CD with signed card but when it arrived the CD was not signed and there was no card. :noparty:

Mine arrived yesterday and it's super cheap, thin paper. And it looks like the ink from the printer was running low. But what I dislike the most about the signed card is, that it's not the same size as the CD cover. I need to be able to replace the booklet with the card.

Huge first world problem, I know. :busted:

I bought a signed copy and a non signed copy bc I thought she would sign the booklet, not a card, so I would keep the signed CD sealed. I’ll have 2 identical CDs but I don’t mind, get those sales girl :clap3:

It’s bop after bop, per usual. The people who don’t like it are old crumbs :bam:

This is a very solid album. The reviews are unfair IMO. Is it better than Clarity or her early EP work? No.. but it's a solid 7/7.5 fun pop record. I think the issue lies in the disjointed tracklist that does not really make sense.. Brrr, coconuts, unholy, etc. Some of these songs don't particularly make sense here and take away from a cohesive project. The title "Feed The Beast" does not really make sense with some of the tracks. Standouts for me are Claws, KOH, Thousand Pieces.

I came here to say this, uhoh is a total collapse and when I hear it at her concert I’m going to ascend above the crowd and start conjuring spirits

But Claws is better than at least a couple of tracks on TOTL, so where's the tea here?

I'm in the minority here but I really think this completely washes Clarity.

Claws & HIFTB are so good.

TOTL (First half) and this are my favorites from her. The second half of TOTL wasn't as good aside from There Will Be Blood in my opinion.

but so is brrr, feed the beast and hit it from the back imo!

She said the tour will be the biggest production she's ever made and inspired by the whole album aesthetic, as a huge ass dungeon etc

The TOTL songs will sound perfect with this set :jonny5:
