She did quite well on iTunes and Apple Music too, not to mention the signed CDs sold out. I hope that's enough for her to crack the Top 100 on BB200 but i don't think it'll go top 50... we'll see

the numbers are great, lets not forget that she quite literally is still a niche artist outside of unholy. the only concern we should have is that 14k date

These are actually really cute numbers considering she's usually pretty weak on Spotify

They need to push KOH

it’s 14k because that venue’s lawn is 8k , not sure if that matters

Unholy inflated the numbers, but overall I think they’re quite cute numbers for her, definitely above my expectations.

Honestly shocked :deadbanana2:

I'm not really knowledgeable about streaming so quick question, how can adding one song i.e Unholy onto the album help with improving streams for the whole album? Don't you have to listen to the whole album to count as an album stream?

No. You can listen to one song once and it will count as one stream towards the song and the album.

The total album streams are simply the single tracks’ streams combined together.

Pretty solid debut numbers tbh. If only vinyls were available :lakitu:

Kim has always been a massive trendhopper even in her independent days. She’s trying to balance not destroying her niche with achieving mainstream success and being lauded on a “higher level” but it’s clear she (and her team, given the other interview that was posted the other day) want the latter much more - hence why she signed with Republic despite succeeding on her own, and it has NEVER worked outside of Unholy. It’s just easier to pin this kind of stuff on a greater less palpable entity such as “the evil label.”

Obviously she continues to have her fanbase in mind so she doesn’t lose her career entirely but your implication from the first post was that it was primarily for them to begin with, and her music was *more* well-liked before by both critics and audiences so your new point is moot as well. She’s also lashed Pitchfork in the past year(?) so clearly their opinion somewhat matters to her :rip: hell she’s been on numerous Twitter meltdowns over the thoughts of just a few haters, again within the past year

The album is possibly the biggest critical and commercial failure of the year given what was put into creating it, which is funny considering what her stans were saying about Gag Order just a month ago  I still enjoy it though! Uhoh is one of her best songs

Lmaoooo it’s never been that deep, my God. I simply was making a point that critical acclaim or not, this album will make an impact where it was intended to. It was obviously not made with some old gremlins who critique music in mind.

And who brought up Gag Order, love? Nobody has thought about that album since it dropped but you. We don’t need to bring up Kesha in every ******* Kim thread. I swear y’all are senile :deadbanana4:

You need to stop posting about Kesha every two seconds. It’s super super weird, unnecessary and lame.

This is a pretty fun album. :clap3: I enjoyed a lot of it.

Okay and your point was wrong. Thanks for playing! Kim is an embarrassment and the current joke of the internet  also you were the one who brought up Kesha lmao

OT: Minute is her worst song
