Imagine signing to a label to do big pop music and the label royally fucks you over and ruins all the hype you've built on your own while being independent.

I don't know if I'd completely agree with this. Kim has gotten a lot more mainstream exposure since signing with a major (televised performances, magazine covers, The Met, won a Grammy etc.). She has more listeners than ever, and her core base is the LGBTQIA+ community, which is all still here.

The music has just sucked...and that's not solely the label's fault.

Y’all love to **** on SlutPop but the release was actually pretty exciteful

The fact that a random EP was better managed than a whole ass debut album is pretty wild to me

The cover also had the double of the likes FTB one had…

she said to OUT Magazine that she's not even doing Pride shows this year :skull:

what?? That is so stupid. I really thought she’d be the headliner for London Pride this year.

Well, King of Hearts and Minute are the only songs we dont know how they sound like, no? So it’s probably one of them.

It is sad. I think back to how much hype was around her in 2019 during the Clarity era and the music was soooooo incredibly good. Now she’s signed to a label and is only now getting a new album out after two years and there seems to be even less budget than when she was independent. I can see her ending up like Charli in the end- just putting out albums quickly to fulfill the contract and then go back to being independent. Kim didn’t need a label. She was doing great on her own and her creative freedom allowed her to make great music consistently. Now it’s all too calculated and it’s not even her fault

Why is Coconuts here though? This album is giving me dark vibes and Coconuts is the antithesis of that

**** Pop, these singles >>>>> everything before

The snippet she posted is King of Hearts, Cirkut re-posted and tagged Madison Love too

Exposure at the cost of quality and her artistry and to a degree her fambase. When Problematique leaked the irony is the album and material was actually good. Just not so good single choices. Which is ironic because the label didn't have faith in the project only for whatever they put out after not be up to par.

Both covers aren't good so this isn't the argument that you think it is lol

That's literally when her and the material gain the most traction like who is managing her 💀

She made her bed and now she has to lay in it. She better network and work her ass off to get out of this damn contract asap

Probably because it's one of the few decent singles that we got from her since signing onto a label lol

I still wanna know why sex talk is on this project even though I love it lol. Seems like it doesn’t fit?
