Aren Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 It’s honestly shocking to me that this barbaric practice is still allowed all over the world. Iceland was the first country to try to ban it a few years ago, but due to pressure from religious groups it was rejected. In my opinion, if men want to be circumcised for cosmetic or religious reasons when they are old enough to decide for themselves, they should be able to do so. But subjecting children and especially newborns who cannot consent to this archaic non-medical irreversible procedure is inhumane. 1 1
campelo Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Why? There are health benefits of circumcision, less likely to get urinary tract infections, some protection from penile cancer, prevention of inflammation of the glans and foreskin, easy to clean for those who don't have phimosis.... I like uncut dicks better but that's just a personal preference, but from a healthy point of view this is not barbaric
illia Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 If it's health reasons it definitely shouldn't be banned
liver Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 absolutely I find it so weird that this is normal in the US
SlowGinFizzzz Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Yes, it should be prohibited unless there is a medical reason for it.
bad guy Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 (edited) It doesn't have any negative effects and no man cries about being circumcised because it doesn't matter so no. Edited May 15, 2023 by bad guy
Zox Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 If cut dicks become a thing no more then I become straight
Bloodflowers. Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Yes, adult should make their own bodily decision on such irreversable thing. Especially when it's not medically related.
Kavish Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 It's so baffling to me how a first world country like the US subjects their infants to it.
Mr. Mendes Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 (edited) There are health benefits to circumcision first off and while I myself am not religious nor am I fan of religion, I also recognize that in some religions it is a part of their custom and I cannot in good conscious demand they cease either. This is a decision that should be left to the parents. I would imagine where in the world you live dictates your answer to this, but most everyone who is circumcised lives just as happily and healthily as someone who isn't. That and the benefits of circumcision to me make this nowhere near as huge of a deal as certain people like to try and make it. Edited May 15, 2023 by Mr. Mendes
Orsay Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 i'm against it but idk about outlawing it, it doesn't seem to be that big of a problem for most cut guys
Riot Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 I've got circumsised when I was a kid because of phimosis, so it should definitely not be outlawed
thetea Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 it should be up to the parents, a lot of people do it for cultural or religious reasons.
JennyWayne Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Doing this without someone's consent should be banned, unless it's for medical reasons
Almighty Gaga Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 How does removing the extra part of foreskin affect your life so much that you want to make it illegal

That’s quite literally the reason it’s done on infants.
Shelter Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 For religious reasons it’s disgusting. I think a lot of people are changing their views on it. It’s also weird how parents brag about it.
Cryptique Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 NOPE.. but it's up to the kid not the parents around 10-12yrs old

One would think that the US would let circumcision be an individual's choice as opposed to subjecting it upon infants without them having a say in it. If it was purely for medical reasons I would understand, but not all American boys are born with an issue that needs circumcision.
truthteller Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 (edited) There’s literal health concern other than some random religious reasons but I agree, maybe ppl shd be able to decide what’s the best for themselves. Edited May 15, 2023 by truthteller
Kayseri Mantisi Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 People deciding themselves would've been good. BUT, cut >>>>>>>
