She was respected from the get go, as people found out about her musical studies etc. But she waited a long time and only started releasing around 2021/2022. She's still very respected and is seen more as an avant garde / alternative act, as she's doing everything independently and not playing the label game. I wouldn't say she's an MPG tho, but maybe on her way there. She's more known for her great live performance skills. Only the last 3 years I'd say she gaining a bigger following, especially GenZ She also announced a new EP for this summer, that'll be more like ZARI. Edited May 13 by ChrispyBelievix 1

Is the percentage of POC in Europe THAT low? As an American watching, this was quite shocking to me. This goes for the audience as well as the contestants. Hurricane and Kat Dosa are coming to represent Serbia in 2025 and 2026 when they win their local national selection 1

little legend Posted May 13 Posted May 13 (edited) I opened the greek TV and of course everyone is talking about Eurovision and there are like "Who is the criminal that is responsible for this crime, for this gargantuan bomb , for this enormous flop that we had this year? Shame on you " and things like this. All these cause we only got the #11 position at the Eurovision I love how we treat Eurovision like an important national issue Edited May 13 by little legend 1

This year especially everyone was talking about Eurovision. In my country the final reached to 80% of TV ratings
JennyWayne Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Came in here to say that the jury did not underrate Croatia at all. It scored on par with Arcade in 2019 even though the latter was supposed to be a jury friendly song and RTTD was expected to bomb the juries. A higher jury score would've been undeserved tbh 1

I wouldn't say Croatia was underrated per se, though the rankings by Belgium, Spain, and Portugal, placing it 18th, 19th, and 20th respectively, don't sit right with me. The main issue was Switzerland receiving so many points that it was impossible for anyone to challenge their win. Even though Latvia and Serbia had jury baits, they received only 36 and 22 points respectively. The jury votes weren't spread around enough to allow competition. Furthermore, the concept of jury baits is more flawed than ever. With a televote-only system in the semis, many countries are at a disadvantage because they rarely receive good public scores. They have to rely on gimmicky songs to go to the finals, where they are then pushed down by the juries. The system is broken and clearly favors certain countries over others. 5
