Popular Post Hurem Posted May 13 Popular Post Posted May 13 I don't think most of you realize that Rim Tim Tagi Dim wasn't written for Eurovision, it was never meant to be another Cha Cha Cha. Baby Lasagna himself said he wrote the song to be a filler track on the album and his friend convinced him to submit it to Dora. The song happened to be fun and y'all automatically labeled it a Cha Cha Cha 2.0 or a joke entry. There is a very simplified understanding of music and genres for anything that's not a basic pop girl song within the ESC community. 14 1

The funniest thing is, it doesn't even sound like Cha Cha Cha, they are two different songs and different genres. 8

velocity Posted May 13 Posted May 13 i'm tired of people acting like the code is some sort of mucial masterpiece. the lyrics are basic and switching from singing to rapping isn't nearly as impressive as people are trying to make it out to be. the music itself is nice but it's pretty much just like any other song on the radio lmao 5

U clearly havent followed the reputation of the eurovision starting with the 2010s. It only recently picked up in relevance and prestige again thanks to songs winning that were elevated 4

Flanders Posted May 13 Posted May 13 There's a really simple solution to the jury vs televote debate and that is simply changing the weighting of the votes. The juries are there for a reason, and they should remain part of the competition. But perhaps they have too much power right now. I think it would be better if the jury had 30-40 % of the vote, and the televote to count for 60-70 % 2

Mordecai Posted May 13 Posted May 13 I think ESC needs to go back to the pre-2016 voting system. We would have less polarising results if there was an ability for each vote to cancel the extremes of the jury/televote out 2012 will always be the perfect example of why the juries exist. Without it, Italy would have finished 17th, Quedate conmigo would've finished 18th and France would have done an Olly and gotten zero. France was still robbed even with the jury But fundamentally, something has happened with the culture of the contest because it's been a while since the jury and televote agreed with each other
Green Tea Is Green Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Yes Nemo yes biggest song of eurovision 2024 Yes Horse yes OUT of the Spotify charts as no one likes that basic ass **** song but I guess she's still charting on itunes with 2 sales 1

I still think it will be Zurich, also blame the audience for the booing, the EBU were the ones who kept ISRAHELL.
Quiqui4eva Posted May 13 Posted May 13 As soon as I heard the Swiss song, I had a feeling they'd pull an upset. Such a deserved winner **** all that homophobic and transphobic noise
