wanderlust Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Just now, Lament said: Madonna is the blueprint when it comes to pop shows. Blond Ambition Tour is like the first modern pop tour with different segments, interludes, huge props, etc. Of course Beyoncé took some notes. I'm pretty sure all pop girls from Bey's generation hear about/watch all of Madonna's tours. She knows how to surround herself with the best people/the best creative team. That said, Beyoncé is also a major force and the greatest performer of her generation, so it's lovely to see one queen inspiring another one of course.. though it does rub me the wrong way when bey fans want to discredit madonna (often only to lift up janet), when their fave talked about how much she inspired her
Oktober Knight Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 I caught this right away. It added spectacles to both shows Madonna is the blueprint - even Taylor's new tour borrowed from Madonna's MDNA stage

They're both legends though, so of course pop girls will look up to both of them. People who downplay Madonna's impact are idiots anyway, don't pay attention to them. They know the truth, trust me

We're flattered that Madonna paved the way for artists like Beyonce to happen and that she's getting a proper homage throughout the show

As she got older she garnered a new appreciation for Madonna as an artist, a woman, an entertainer, and a boss. It's not that deep, somewhere around the self titled era she really deep dove into Madge's career.

Her fans want to erase any love or respect she sends her way. They are already at it. They even cut Beyoncé referencing madonna in their uploads, because how dare she pay respect to madonna..
