Ya'll celebrated Ed's downfall too early

how did he go from like 30k to 105k :deadbanana2: ik chartdata said that their initial predictions didn't account for physicals but i'm supposed to believe ed sheeran has generated enough interest / a sizeable fanbase to collect all those physicals...?

Yeah, I won’t believe - will get 6 figures until I see it. After all, they overestimated the physical sales for Bad Habits the week = was released:

I remember That physical copies are not shipped in that week. His label missed the chances to score a #1 for BH because they are late to shipped those physical copies?

Will Dolly Parton finally get a number one album?

His pure sales seem frauded.if it's frauded for eyes closed I wouldn't be surprised if he does the same here

Lol… The last what?

Ed doing similar numbers with no hit, joining Lana and Melanie is only highlighting how embarrassing ESV’s debut and run so far

This week on Billboard 200

ESV - 20K

Melanie - 18k

Lana - 14k

I agree with you ... Miley's ESV run is so embarrassing :)thankfully that hit called flowers is holding the album up from completely flopping because if her numbers are embarrassing I wonder what these numbers from albums that were released after hers is ? but I guess the goal post moves for them.. :)

I was expecting worse for Ed, those are "decent" numbers considering no one knows he's released an album...or music in the last year. :duck:

Great numbers :clap3: would‘ve been #1 in any other non-Morgan week

Excited for Ed’s drop from this mediocre opening. :duca:

Lover bigger than ALL her previous albums. :deadbanana4:

very good numbers for Ed, all things considered... maybe they are overestimating him... if not, it would be good numbers indeed

Taylor 4 albums in the top20 still... just wow

Not the week Lana and Luke released. That was a stacked week, and Ed would be fighting just to get the #3 album that week.

Solid numbers for Ed, especially since this is not far from his = numbers.

Still sad about #2 but pleasantly happy with the numbers. He could have done worse, thank goodness his sales pulled through.

He needs to find a way to get the streaming numbers up. I don't want this to be his evermore, deserves so much better. (I know Evermore is super successful and this is not but hopefully people get the context)

Evermore is also much better than -

Anyways, solid numbers for Ed.

How can Ed pull such poor numbers? It seems like all the gimmicks, payola, etc he did during all these years only made him a singles artist? What amazes me is how can he have such massive singles that make him break touring records... and yet the public is not here for his albums? +100k is fine for every artist, but it's strange to think how a big artist like him only has two albums that surpassed the +150k mark

Several performances, interviews, an ongoing stadium tour, he literally released FOURTEEN music videos for the album, and yet 105k is the best he could do? If any other MPG pulled the same numbers under the same circumstances this thread would be already +20 pages of lashings :swan:

Dragging aside, Ed's album is beautiful, the GP is tasteless for letting it flop :coffee2:

Pure sales match with Ed “=“ album so I think they are real sales, let’s not forget that he is doing a US stadium tour, he must have solid fan base

At least he is promoting not like his lazy peers who release an album & pretend it did not exist

True I gotta give Ed props where it's due. The fact that he's able to sell out stadium tours is very impressive

I’ll be happy as long as he clears 100k in US.

It looks like Ed won't have #1 :eli:
