visions Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 1. Born To Die 2. Pure Heroine Especially for people who were 30ish and younger during the time of their releases. They're credited to this day for introducing an entire generation to new types of music. What is the impact of 21? (Not saying there isn't any, genuinely wanna know where you guys are coming from.)
FreeXone Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 (edited) Born to die is only impactful to tumblr gays and White girls who love toxic relationships and pinterest lol might as well through 1991 by Azelia Banks in the mix by those standards Edited May 2, 2023 by FreeXone

Nobody is making bland pop music like that anymore. i agree with Born to Die though. you should know baby Quote While you wouldn’t necessarily know it, Katy Perry inspired “Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale single “Hold It Against Me.” Perry and “Teenage Dream” songwriter Bonnie McKee had been working together in a writing session, and McKee had left the room to work on Spears’ music. McKee recalls the creation of “Hold It Against Me” as a “happy accident” inspired by Perry. “[Perry] came into the room in some tight, sexy little dress and I jokingly said, ‘Damn, Katy if I told you, you had a nice body would you hold it against me?’ I was like, ‘Bingo!’ and I wrote that song,” McKee told The Hollywood Reporter in 2013.

If that’s all we got for the teenage dreams impact I’m gonna stand by my original comment. I would argue Dr. Luke took Kesha’s sound for Teenage Dream. Edited May 2, 2023 by WhateverYouWant

Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor, Ariana Grande etc. were all influenced by Teenage Dream at some points in their careers.

Pure heroine? That album wasn’t big out of certain markets and its Not really talked about. Lol at the 21 shade. Rihanna, Bruno, Pink (my second fave) all released ballads after the 21 era in 2012. It’s definitely Born To Die. The aesthetic, the music, the sad ***** girl persona. What a time to be alive.

Abracadabra Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 There's a few different ways to quantify impact Born to Die/Channel Orange for the trends that followed in the years after 21 for the widespread appeal it had across demographics and huge sales in a time when most thought it was impossible Emotion for poptimism
