Selegend Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Pop female albums only: Born To Die (indie pop), Teenage Dream (bubblegum "pure" pop), Beyonce self-titled (Friday releases/visual album), Born This Way (visuals and sound inspired some b-list singers i think) and 1989 (max martin) There's probably more, but those were the ones that came to my head.

Saintlor Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Born to Die is the most impactful album of this century, let alone the 2010s

alejandreaux Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 taking into account all the different types of impact (such as popularity, acclaim, influence, cultural presence, etc.) these are the Big 5 in no particular order imo:
Cameltoe Chariot Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Not the only ones, but absolutely two of the most impactful by far.
FSXP Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 It’s probably cliché, but I would argue 21. The numbers are the numbers, but 21 truly did shift the music industry from EDM domination. I don’t think we would get to alt-pop, alt-R&B or music focusing on introspection and lyricism to the large degree that we did post 2012.
