In this case i think you should tend (as we always do) to judge what is around you as universal. I can tell you i have a lot of female straigth friends and they follows lana since first album and they never abandoned her.

 

In which universe taylor has little to no appeal to gay men?  I would say 50% of her fanbase especially global is made by gay men, while straight girls here in Europe are more into men (styles, sheeran, bieber). 

Really? From my perspective, Lana female stans are mostly Born to Die stans and I’m not even kidding. Some also listen to Ultraviolence and NFR… I’m not saying all of them are like that but she have much more gay stans than girls from what I observe.

Taylor has a lot of young gay stans but the older gay guys that usually stan most pop girls are always attacking and mocking her, don’t you think? It’s like P!nk they just don’t get it, you can actually see this  here, tons of gays always saying “I don’t get her appeal” “she killed Pop” “she’s only listened by white girls” and stuff like that, she has very weak gay appeal. In Latin America, her fans are like +80% women, by far the most of any pop girl.

Lana’s fanbase was like full of gays after the Ultraviolence era until NFR, I can’t believe you guys don’t remember that. I remember being talked in here her being listened only by gay men  and on Twitter too, tons of viral of the stereotypical Lana stan being a white twink  the girls are stanning her again so maybe that’s why.

I don't even think we are the most loyal ones. It's still fascinating to think legacy male acts can still sell alot of albums and sell out stadiums decades into their career and a stable catalog sales all throughout. I think straight guys are just way more loyal than us, lowkey lol.

Well, they are loyal to the genre, but they just listen to whoever is popular in that moment. Maybe it changes in the future but reggaeton fans have always been more "playlist on shuffle" kind, without caring about the name of the artist. They drop an artist without even noticing they are doing it, if you are out of the playlists and you don't get big features anymore you're done.
