The music video, featuring sexy sunbathing, sexy car washing and a sexy nighttime pool party, was nominated at the American Music Awards, while the MTV Europe Music Awards tapped “Me Porto Bonito” as a nominee for Best Song (alongside two other tracks from this rate). But the voters didn’t get the phenomenon, kicking it to the curb before the countdown is even halfway over.
