Method acting is so pretentious and genuinely weird to me and I must admit I would've found that energy very annoying to work with. Imagine getting that deep into a character for so long, you're surrounded by Oscar buzz, the trailer for the film breaks records, and you get a 10 minute standing ovation in Cannes only for it to BOMB so hard and be critically panned.
