The movie is, but not Gaga's performance. She mostly received positive reviews for her ACTING performance. What is that you're not getting? NEXT!

I don't keep up with this award show but has there ever been a nom or even a win for an acting performance despite the parent movie being panned overall? She could still get one if she really is that good.

Rarely. Much more often, when the film was poorly received, it had excellent acting, but it was still nominated for a Golden Raspberry (for Worst Actress/Worst Actor).

Most recently Ana de Armas received a best actress nomination in 2023 despite Blonde being mega-panned by critics but it isn't common at all in general.

We had chances when it had mixed reviews since Successica won Best Actress with mixed reviewed movie...now, I don't think it's happening.

Yet, her performance itself is getting strong notices, which is part of the point they were making. The idea that if something doesn't win an Oscar (or any awards) means it's inherently unworthy of one is flawed, and they used Beyonce as an example since shes been deemed deserving of AOTY at the Grammys multiple times despite never winning it.

Gaga does great with the material she has. This is the first time I truly saw her shed the Gaga image. Not saying her other roles were bad, it just took a few roles to fully shake that persona visually or audibly. IMO. This role is that role and it fails her because she is not given more. I'd love to see more of her character and take on Harley because she was taking it in the right direction with no where to go. They failed HER

Okay Blonde doesn't have a RT score of 33 it has a RT score of 42. That's still abysmal for a supposed oscar baity film. 
 

Bottom line is Blonde was hated by both critics and audiences and got a bunch of Razzie nominations and despite of that de Armas still got nominated for best actress which is what that poster asked.

 

Now I'm not saying Gaga is getting a nomination for JFAD and in my opinion she doesn't deserve one either even though she did perfectly fine with what she was given.
