Longevity in streaming just doesn't mean bigger though. I'm sorry but the GP does not know Lover singles. Taylor has the bigger fan base but 7 rings  in recognition and reach >>>>>

In which universe we judge the album's success based on the single's success :rip: By this logic ESV is bigger than lots of smash albums without real hit singles like BTD or Speak Now

Total Streams:

TUN  6,815,622,608 +2,319,385 daily

Lover 5,632,458,650 +8,294,780 daily

Lover is going to surpass TUN's total streams by the end of this year or early next year

CSPS:

TUN: 9.2m

Lover: 10.9m

IFPI 2019 album chart:

Lover #2

TUN #8

This week's album chart:

thank u, next:
Billboard 200 – N/A
UK Albums Chart – N/A
ARIA – N/A

other countries - all N/A

Lover:
Billboard 200 – #9
UK Albums Chart – #15
ARIA – #11

Canada #16

Ireland - #15

Belgium - #20

No data for tun

:coffee2:

So even as far back as 2020, Lover was showing better signs of longevity than TUN.

Bigger in Spotify, yes. Lover is bigger in total units even back to 2019 :rip:

Also comparing daily stats where one artist is a actively in an era, on tour, at the heart of publicity because of a breakup... Whilst the other is on hiatus

ATRL never stop with with your daily Spotify chart comparison :gaycat6:

the girls are letting the Lover resurgence get to their heads :dies:

the album with multiple #1 hits, the album that set a streaming record, the album that had AOTY nomination, the album that occupied the Top 3 on the Hot 100 all by herself, the album with higher total streaming numbers despite having less songs >>>

The daily stats are there to show you that Lover is going to sail past TUNs Spotify total soon

Bear in mind TUN already had its tour, and plenty of break up publicity :gaycat6:

Despite being released in August and the other one was released in February :rip:

Let's not even bother talking about the longevity

'Lover'.

It already was massive in 2019, but its insane longevity has just made it pull ahead.

It doesn't matter, TUN was never bigger than Lover not in 2019, not in 2020 and that's even more true today.

TUN was bigger in 2019

Lover really outdid it in the long run.

Crazy to think everyone thought Taylor was having a steep decline in 2019 :skull:

tun had a bigger rollout but lover is by far the bigger album, it's going to outstream tun on Spotify before this year ends while selling 3m MORE pure sales than tun did.

Thank u next was a cute flash in the pan era at the time buts it very forgotten. I’ll go with the one that’s about to go back to the Top 10 on Billboard next week. :giraffe:

tun is one of those *it was a moment in time* albums, it did extremely well in the beginning no one can deny that but it has such terrible longevity for an album that broke the female spotify record + had 2 huge smash hits. it currently pulling less recurrent streams than My Everything tells you so much.

TUNA feels bigger because its singles were actually a success, Lover will eventually pass it tho since it's showing better longevity.

Good thing this thread is asking about which album overall is bigger and not which has the biggest singles

Also, Lover's single success is incredibly underrated, simply because it had disliked songs. ME! and YNTCD may be panned critically, but they are still well known and at this point infamous. Lover is a sleeper hit. And cruel summer is constantly going viral.

thank u, next was bigger in 2019. Lover is far bigger overall.

Ariana didn't sell clips from her diary with her album :dies: imagine the collapse if she did that after the things she went through...

As if TUN was ever above Lover in terms of units... Just because it has bigger singles doesn't mean it was a bigger album.

We can only imagine given that Ariana has never shown the ability to be an album seller unlike Taylor.

Lover, as an album, is bigger than TYN just in the Anglosphere.

- Germany: TYN (31 weeks) - Lover (36 weeks) half of Lover's weeks are from 2022-2023
- France: TYN (99 weeks) - Lover (19 weeks)
- Belgium: TYN (111 weeks) - Lover (47 weeks)
- Spain: TYN (96 weeks) - Lover (144 weeks)
- Italy: TYN (33 weeks) - Lover (9 weeks)
- Norway: TYN (51 weeks) - Lover (6 weeks)
- Netherlands: TYN (67 weeks) - Lover (52 weeks)
