Christina Aguilera sold more than 15 million albums and scored 4 #1 hits before anyone ever knew what a Kelly Clarkson was. Even one of Kelly's very own hits was written by Xtina herself, so really, you should be thanking Xtina. Also, Xtina has more GRAMMYs than Kelly too before you bring that up.

 

Point is, even with all of Xtina's flopping, she still blows Kelly's career out of the water.

Someone lied to her (probably) that she can never have another MPG moment ala Stronger due to her maturing in age and her body image, thus her deciding to completely abandon any edge and rebel hustle charge she possessed. Big time shame.

 

EDIT: Given how streaming age is 'diluting' female ageism in music industry at slow, yet steady pace - I do think she still has at least one more 'She came on this mad as hell' era in her. She can literally pull Pop-Rock ala SOUR meets Adult Contemporary sound ala Carrie Underwood.

 

She can possibly work on her body image if she wishes (she can get on most efficient injectables out there) and still can pull strings to get some hot producers and personnel in studio.

 

Alas, I just think she doens't give an effin'. Which is sad.
