Young people (the key demographic for streaming numbers) do not watch TV, let alone daytime talk shows. The talk show has helped solidify her presence in the public ether and her branding with middle aged America, but that's it. It's a good thing for her, but I never understood the argument that it would translate into commercial success in music.
