CottageHore Posted May 12, 2023 Posted May 12, 2023 I love the song Jaded because it's about how Miley walked in on Liam having an orgy with the 14 women he cheated on her with in the home featured in the Flowers video. Turns out, she was so shocked and heartbroken that she ran out of the house and went on a long drive which is when she began singing the chorus melody, "I'm sorry that you're jaded!". She was thinking about how she knew the relationship had to end and was already grappling with the idea of losing Liam and feeling some sense of internal shame for not fighting for the marriage and leaving Liam "jaded" because what he did was unforgivable. Jaded is so gut-wrenchingly emotional and speaks to Miley's bravery. She could've stayed with Liam but knew she had to put herself first. Jaded is the song which describes the impetus for the inspiration behind Flowers. Her mind!
