Which is only natural anyway since both of the former albums were country releases during the digital era. Ofc Fearless and Red will always have the edge in US even with Lover pulling these massive numbers (deserved, anyways) Edited April 11, 2023 by Holiest Dreams

And it's only happening on pop forums for some reason. I don’t even hate Reputation, but saying it was more successful or remembered than Lover is factually wrong. Just look at their streams and chart runs. Lover tops Reputa in every metric.

It's poppy enough to be accessible to everyone and has her usual songwriter-driven (and mostly strong) deep cuts.

It's just that her streams aren't boosted by a hit that brings in 15k album units every week on its own unfortunately.
Junlin Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 the album is not even good... but if she releases cruel summer i don't mind it going back to

Plus it surges every fall/winter season. Only two albums from 2020 (one being folklore) are currently charting above it. Obviously it’s not a smash on the level of some of the others (I mean Lover being at #10 after 3.5 years is incomparable nn) but it still stands on its own and is worthy of being called such a thing with its amazing longevity. Speaking of which — hopefully it will be top 40 for several more weeks, I wish HDD posted the full top 50 on their initial projections Edited April 12, 2023 by Holiest Dreams
Buffy Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 It’s not too late to release Cruel Summer as a single…. Wonder why artists don’t release singles from past albums.
