She was practically unknown outside of the US before 2012. And what exactly did she achieve chart-wise in 2006, 2007 and 2010? Self-titled accumulated its sales over a long period of time but isn't really known for much else – it didn't go #1, didn't spawn any notable singles (in terms of chart performance) and is her only album that doesn't chart recurrently. Fearless stands on its own for sure, but Speak Now's singles failed to make a dent like other eras despite its first-week sales, nor did the album itself have the longevity of its successors and predecessor. Self-titled and Fearless are objectively her weakest albums to date so I don't know how either could be considered a musical peak, though that's just my opinion. oscar13 Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 They should add All Of The Girls You Loved Before to the album and it will be even higher. I don't understand why they haven't done it yet.
Trent W Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 (edited) After she’s done with the re-recordings, she should honestly re-package the album and re-rerelease it. Delete, ME!, YTCD and The man. Release Cruel Summer as a single with a video And release 2 new vault tracks It would smash so hard Edited April 11, 2023 by Trent W

Of course those old albums, which were also huge, have way more units. Lover is easily her 3rd biggest album on a worldwide scale behind 1989 and Midnights. Red is of course bigger overall but not as big in Asia or Europe as Lover (basically outside US in general). The same goes for the US numbers, it’ll probably settle behind 1989, Fearless, Midnights and Red with ease, judging by the amount of units it’s moving each week (32k ) Wow at it re-entering the top 10 though, hopefully it doesn’t end up at #11
mael Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 What in the world? Would be a staple in the top 10 if AOTG was included.
cruelhprince Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 something about her first fully owned record smashing years later makes me happy
Frozen99 Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 somehow it always stays there miss americana better carry

It's important to remember that Self-Titled is the longest charting album of the 00s in the US. I mean that's quite impressive considering how different he music industry was back then. 2 hours ago, Space Cowboy said: Logevity >>> Quick little peaks Reputation is forgotten by the GP, while Lover is thriving. Suuuuuuure, keep telling yourself that The way people are so desperate to hate on Reputation is beyond weird at this point. And it's only happening on pop forums for some reason.

This is insane. Considering the fact people called it a flop at one point (which it never was). Lover is not even close to being at the same level as 1989, Red, Fearless etc
