Unless you consider not dating female as sexist, then the answer is NO.

Sexuality is such a mystery.

why would a gay man date a female? that doesn't make sense. you thought you did something with this angle lol

It's funny how Atrl is mostly condemning this type of thinking (rightfully so) but in a recent thread along the lines of "Is it okay if I'm only ever attracted to masculine guys, I can't help it guys, that's totally just the way I'm wired", there was only single User saying that that type of thinking was questionable.

As someone that's Puerto Rican and Italian, I've only ever dated Puerto Rican and Italian men along with one Colombian guy. I think there are attractive men in every race but I just prefer men with phenotypes that are closest to mine.

The hoops people jump through to justify it is honestly stupid.

It has a racist element to it, and isn't black and white, but I would say it subconsciously can veer there. It's fair enough, and whatever, but the issue comes from the segmentation it causes within the gay community, as many use attraction as a criteria for friends and who they'll give their time to in social circles. This routinely causes those who don't meet the racial "preferences" left out of many social spaces intentionally or unintentionally.

It has knock on effects, which makes it problematic.

If you're still open to dating other races then no.

It becomes an issue when you outright deny another person a date because of their race.

:cm:

I know people say "well, you can't help what you're turned on by" maybe it's a good time to then do a bit of self reflection and asking yourself why you wouldn't date certain races.

I understand if people wants to date inside of their culture tho.

The lines are blurry imo. I think culture trumps race and people are more likely to date someone they can relate to culturally, and those often are the same race/ethnicity.

The culture argument is shaky ground imo. More often than not, it doesn't exclude people from different countries who have very different cultural backgrounds, as long as they're of an agreeable race to that person.
