I refrain from dating anyone from Eurocentric groups because as a Black person, our culture is way too complex. I don’t feel like teaching you about our culture or explain as to why we do certain things and why we do them, then having to teach you why your takes on certain things that deals with minorities is wrong and offensive. It’s just a lot of work, and there can be a lot of misunderstandings.

Let's start with the fact that race is a blanket term with very loose definitions in general, there is no genetic basis on which to group white, black, Asian, Latino etc people together. There is a huge amount of ethnic variance/mixing in each of these racial groups; other cultures even have different definitions and boundaries for categorizing race (see Brazil). To say that any one set of facial or physical features belongs to any one of these groups is, imo, racism by definition, and the "I'm not attracted to anyone from X race" stance is definitely rooted in some kind of conditioning or prejudice.

 

At the same time, I'm not into policing people's attractions. Some people just wanna date people that look like them and it is what it is

ofc ppl are comfortable dating their own race, i mean, they even look for ppl similarly looking (twin gays). but like @Likingstars said, to say you're not into one specific race, that's racist. i find attractive ppl from all races but i don't prefer them.
