Bosque Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 She’s literally the only declared candidate Congrats on her 10-90 poll against Biden I guess. Breaking Points misrepresenting basic statistics to fit their agenda. Surprised? Can’t say that I am.

Beyonnaise Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Whether it’s Marianne or someone else, I’ve been saying that it’s obvious there will be a Ross Perot type of third party option who probably won’t win but could sizably sway the general election (depending on who they’re poaching votes from). The large majority of people do not want either Biden or Trump and I think many more will actually vote for someone else this time.

Independents are on the rise in a big way in this country, both in ways of thinking, and in actual voter registrations. I think Biden and the DNC establishment especially royally ****** up picking Kamala as the VP. She’s unelectable and everyone knows it.

The divide between the Sanders wing of the party and the establishment is age, not race. Biden did poorly amongst both Latino voters and Asian voters, as well as black voters under the age of 45. Trying to cite the *final* primary map where 90% of the primaries Biden ran unopposed because the DNC threatened to disqualify all primaries who asked to delay voting until we knew more about COVID shows you've already come to a conclusion that suits those privileges, no matter how much society leaves people like you behind. Honestly, partisans like you have no actual value to contribute to these kinds of political discussions. You're a hyper-partisan Democrat who is immune to the flaws of the party by virtue of your own personal privileges. You can't meaningfully discuss anything because you view being a capital-D "Democrat" as a identity. You overtly identify with the political branding of Dems as an organization, like as though it was a lifestyle brand, in a way that not even the vast majority of those who lean or who are likely to vote for Democrats do. Look at all those states where Biden won every single district especially swing states with large black populations like Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania. The African American rejection of Bernie was quite something
Communion Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 (edited) 25 minutes ago, Armani? said: Didnt Bernie slightly win the Hispanic vote? That's inaccurate. He won the Hispanic vote in every state with a major Hispanic population where people actually got a competitve primary, sans Arizona,, the alleged "radically center-right state where proud socialist Bernie would 100% lose to Trump" - for which *checks notes* he and Biden tied amongst Hispanic voters, per exit polls. California, Hispanic Voters: Sanders +26 (Asian Voters: Sanders +11) Texas: Hispanic Voters, Sanders +13 (Asian Voters: Sanders +34) Nevada: Sanders +33 Even in South Carolina, Sanders won overall voters under 40. Even in a double-digit pro-GOP state where the population is old as dog ****, Biden *still* couldn't win people under the age of 45. Partisan Dems having no ability to actually understand how Democratic voters feel and vote due to consultant-originated ideas like "demographics as destiny" is how we end up with Biden seeing the largest shifts of Hispanic and Black men to the GOP in decades when going up against Trump. Ironically Marianne, based on recent crosstabs, polls worse amongst educated whites, with non-white voters being far more open to her than white voters. Edited April 4, 2023 by Communion

RunUpDoneUp Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 I wouldn't be caught dead watching a breaking points video. Marianne deserves but honestly, she doesn't need to do much. The dems are a living corpse, not because the leader is a corpse but the party leadership as a whole are a bunch of corpses.
