My favorite so far of the singles. Free Yourself kind of got old fast

Posted

It's ok. I disliked Free Yourself and Pearls but this, I can use more. Not my favorite Jessie song, but it might grow. This album is not shaping up to be for me, it's giving afternoon cocktail party hosted by your boss. I want her to serve cvnt like WYP, Read My Lips and Ooh La La

this is... insane

The way this song actually makes me tear up. It is BEAUTIFUL. We haven't had a song this well executed in a very long time :weeps:

this

the lyrics related to me because of my marriage and how my life has been. the question is it beginning or is it ending was at the top of my head for months and now she's taking it to life. :gaycat7:

I thought I wanted Dua but honestly give Jessie Ware the next Bond song. If she does something like this it will be TIMELESS :jonny:

Free Yourself remains the best track. But at least it‘s much better than Pearls.

Very nice :clap3: she’s really coming for blood with this album

Pearls is still the stand out for me

The ARRANGEMENT for this is insane :deadbanana:

It just sounds... flawless:gaygacat5:

the music video did absolutely nothing for me. reminds me way too much of the same styling from the wyp era. bring something unexpected!

I can't get into this. Like I can see that it is a beautiful song but I don't care for it. Pearls didn't do much for me either so now I am not that hyped for the album.

WYP and Free Yourself remain superior (to me).

SPECTACULAR

I was floored throughout the whole song, the production is immaculate and her vocals are better than ever. It's more explicit the Brazilian influence here too there's no greater mother than her and y'all better never doubt her.

The PopJustice gays have been unbearable with this era/singles/rollout; I've almost made an account several times just to clock them but been too lazy. Hopefully someone here is also there, and you can tell them to stfu cuz they sound so stupid with all the complaining and comparisons to WYP?

Honestly, this album is made for their aging millennial asses and they are hating it. I am so confused

It's like they can't move on from WYP? On one hand I see what they're saying - she can't recreate the magic of WYP? because that was an uncontrived passion project - but on the other hand, she's simply not trying to recreate it; it's a totally different album in almost every way and some people just can't move on.

Even still I could sort of? see people disliking FY and Pearls since they're not very complex.. but BA's production is just so intricate and fabulous and I'm at a loss for words if people aren't impressed with this one :skull:

The WYP gays probably only listened to that track and acclaimed the whole album :rip:

If you listen to the deep cuts and the ending, it’s pretty obvious she was going this route and she’s absolutely nailing it.

i think certain terminally online people conflate fun up-tempo music with lower quality.
