There was a controversy in the UK about it. A person was called Adam Graham was charged with raping two women. Then decided to transition to being Isla Bryson while awaiting trial. Male prisoners tend not to treat rapists as kindly as other prisoners, so that would be one incentive to fake being trans in addition to getting access to female victims. Cis women in the UK also can't be charged with rape (only sexual assault) although I think trans women can be since it seems to be based on whether you used your p****. TERFs like saying this and they especially love saying how trans people threaten lesbians but according to polls, lesbians are the biggest supporters of trans rights, followed by gay men and bisexual people. that's not to downplay transphobia in the LGBT+ community of course, but groups such as the LGB alliance are made up mostly of cishet folks who use LGB people as a shield for their transphobia. in reality most queer spaces are trans friendly.

Domination Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 I do sort of agree that a deep belief in gender is the product of a hyper capitalist society, and you see this from both far right and reactionary far left people. That said, the amount of aggression towards trans people in the West as of late is pretty disturbing and it really makes no sense for them to release a statement like this. Somehow allowing trans people to live their lives truthfully and with dignity mean more misogyny? How does that even make sense?

From Right or Left. Here in my country we dealed with Communist guerillas and they were very homophobic and killed so many. The LGBTI Community is just a chess piece for all the political parties. Modern far-left ideology is not the same as that of Stalin.
