Honestly, in comparison to the rest of the album, I'm glad they saved the best for last.

 

Even though I'm still meh on i hate love.

Having had time to digest this album, I do really like it. I don't think I will put it in my top 3 for her once the newness wears off, but I think it lands in the upper half of her discography. Vocals are the best she's ever sounded, and I love how it shows off all the dimensions of her voice rather than just her belting prowess. Chemistry the song is a delight because of that. It just shows off how beautiful her tone is. I hope she plays in that space of her voice more often like that. Other songs like Skip This Part also do this as well.

 

Lyrically, I think it's her strongest since My December, though there are a few clunky lines here and there.

 

I think the thing that holds this album back for me a bit is the production. There are certain songs it needed to go harder but instead kind of waters itself down. Like some of the more rock inspired songs needed punchier production, something less glossy and more raw. Still, this album turned out much better than what the promo tracks were leading me on.

Ugh I really want to love this album especially after waiting six years. It's not a very good album. Only lighthouse and favorite kind of high are decent. But overall I am disappointed. I'm glad everyone else is enjoying though!

Can’t believe I wait 6 years for this, MOL sounds more like a divorce album  💀

 

This is definitely her worst album (after Thankful)
