This is a very good album overall, I like all songs, of course there are some that shine brighther than others

 

Skip this part is perfect to star the album

 

Justice for Mine & Me but also kelly??? wish she could had released a video or some performances, she did not even perfomed at The Voice  

 

Favorite Kind Of High is pop perfection

Her voice is genuinely the best it’s ever sounded; good job Kelly for maintaining/improving your instrument for so many years.

 

The few songs I’ve heard so far have been okay. Will give it more listens cuz I really want to like it - vocalist is a rare breed now a day and I’m glad she is still here and I really want to support her!

Incredible album  Also, her Apple Music interview was so good. Zane Lowe is such a ******* weirdo, though. His narcissistic behaviour is so off-putting. Always talking like he's some great prophet. And when he started playing the guitar halfway through her sentence? The ****? The master of social interactions and the human experience can't infer how inexplicably belittling and stifling that is?! I-

album is a concoction of her previous work imo

it has flavours of MOL, Breakaway, PxP , Stronger and AIEW

not really a divorce album, more of a relationship album and processing and feeling the different stages of what a relationship is and can be and eventually becomes

she does all this with her signature soulfulness, her strong voice (which sounds more robust than ever) and with her signature pop-rock bite

i'm enjoying the records, it's perhaps not as "deep" as I would have expected from her, seeing as she's described it as an emotional and highly personal record, and also given the pain she's felt through her divorce. but i can respect the need and want to hold back and angle her experience through this lens that is chemistry.

 

album is good, has some very nice and memorable songs on there - also some single contenders (none of which Atlantic chose to lead with leading up to the album release). my favourites are high road, down to you, magic and rock hudson. favourite kind of high is also a nice little summer single candidate. that's right is cute, so quit hatin'.

 

comparing her to some of her peers that have recently released music, i.e. P!nk, this album is MILES better than Trustfall. Sorry, I love P!nk, but just spillin' truth tea. proud of kelly, she's so strong, and she looked snatched in her latest interviews. the other piece of critique I have for the album is sometimes the production, she could really benefit from working with some other people outside her comfortable circle.

Honestly the Chemistry into FKOH has me like  

 

Down to You, Lighthouse and Rock Hudson are my absolute favorites on the album so far. The latter two of which are her best songs she's ever written.

Sonically, the transition on the album of 'chemistry -> favorite kind of high -> magic'is such s beautiful section of the album. I feel like they build perfectly into one another. In some ways I would love to combine FKOH and magic into one perfect pop song
