I swear if she releases a remix that features someone pretty big she could probably snatch a week at #1 for Lavender Haze cuz it has 50 million radio audience and recently whatever she releases to streaming goes #1 on Spotify .

Ed hasn’t had a #1 since 2017/18 and his last single debuted at #5 I wouldn’t say he’s a big threat. At least not in the first week. Bad Habits and Shivers took a while before they peaked on the Hot 100.

Agreed, nobody would have guessed a year ago that Drake would release 2 flop albums, while SZA's album and Miley's single dominate the charts. That said, a massive radio deal and spotify payola can only do so much. If the song doesn't resonate with the GP, it will not chart high (see Sweetest Pie).

I mean could you have predicted Miley and SZA having the biggest hits of the year? The hot100 is a lot less predictable these days due to tiktok which is why Ed is using already sex bots to manipulate the algorithm. Plus he’s gonna have massive radio payola on his side as well so I wouldn’t really count him out.

Anti-Hero pass Blank Space as her longest #1.

 

She has to get to 25 weeks in the top 10 to pass Shake It Offs 24 weeks in the top 10. She can do it, but it all depends on if multiple songs take off and pass it or other big artist have releases. She’s so close!

Lavender Haze has had the slowest climb on radio. But I think it’s paying off because it needed more space between itself and Anti-Hero. I hope radio keeps pushing it along with her tour.
