We're actually getting a mug shot of a US President. :jonnycat:

Quote

When Trump is arrested, will his fingerprints be taken?

As part of those negotiations with prosecutors, the court may also agree to grant him a private entrance to the court, instead of the more typical "perp walk" in front of the assembled media.

Once inside, however, Mr Trump will be fingerprinted and have his mug shot taken like all defendants in criminal cases. He will also be read his "Miranda" rights, reminding him of his constitutionally-protected right to a lawyer and to decline to talk to police.

Girl. Ain’t nobody going to listen to you in New York.

I was reading somewhere that the whole process could take like 16+ months to be settled :deadbanana: since thats how long it took for one of his businesses to be brought to court for financial crimes.

But if that's the case, say Trump wins the primary and gets sentenced to jail in ~July 2024? Would the party call a convention to elect someone new or fall back on his VP? All this being hypothetical and extremely unlikely, of course.

I think she's been pushing to be his VP. She's been to every single one of his rallies/speaking events the past year and is constantly at Mar-a-Lago :rip:

Oh, so he's planning on losing by more than he did last election?

Trump is NOT going to jail. Enough with these liberal fantasies. The law applies differently to the elites like him. He will get a fine at most if the case isn't thrown out before it goes to trial :rip:

I agree. But it’s nice to see he’s being held somewhat accountable.

It’s insane that a person being indicted, let alone being indicted for **** he did while previously in office, would even be allowed to run

And it could be tossed out by the first judge that reads the charges. It could take a year before the courts allow the trial to go forward as the Manhattan DA is making some questionable charges. Grand juries will usually indict when asked by the DA, they aren't legal experts.  But a real judge will actually have to decide if the charge is actually valid. Add to that the appeals on what the judge decides and the 2024 election could be over before day one of the actual trial.
