It’s a closed high hat playing 32nd notes. The high hat sounds like the drummer is pressing hard on the peddle and it’s closed extremely tight. It’s just a super tight hi hat sound that sounds like that cause it’s played so fast

ooooh thank you for explaining!

kinda embarrassed that I'm a certified rockhead and I don't think ive ever picked up on it in other songs! 😂

ok it sounds so much better on Spotify now! although the instrumental does drown out her voice a bit sometimes! no biggie tho

The other pop/rock girlies need to step it up, Demi's been slaying since HF.

The outro fading away is lowkey a hit. Sounds like a different song. :jonny5:

THISSSSS I'm actually obsessed. Imagine if this was an album track and that outro crossfaded into another song- :jonny3:

Okay this goes HARDDDDDDDD the THE BRIDGE :wanda:

She sounds sooooo good. Loving the new notes.

She sounds great!! But why does the instrumental sound so cheap like something made in GarageBand? :biblio:

It really does 💀

I need Oak to go away and Mike Shinoda to come back and produce everything going forward STAT

Yeah it’s really unfortunate because the quality of the production doesn’t match her vocals.

Jesus the mixing and mastering are BAD

But Demi sounds amazing as usual

this is so good :WAP:

I always thought that Heart Attack had the structure of a rock song and a rock version would slap so hard but I was underwhelmed by it and it felt too messy idk. The fanmade/tour version sounds a lot better imo! I'll still gaslight myself with it tho

I’m sorry but I LOVE THIS :jonnycat:

This is kinda the perfect version to listen to in the shower and while getting ready :jonnycat:

Love it :clap3:

I love it!! I'm ready for the next rock version

OMG I actually love it, this sounds amazing on Spotify!! :clap3:

The versions surfacing around are LQ compared to official release

It reminds me of the original, but I love the extra layer of instrumentation

THIS.

I want to know what's next from here? Is this lead to a Greatest Hits (Rock Version) EP? I'd buy that record in a heartbeat.

Give Your Heart A Break, Sorry Not Sorry, Cool for the Summer, and Confident at the very least deserve the same treatment. And I'd love for some of the fetus era songs to get re-recorded as well like Don't Forget and La La Land

I agree and I think that'd be a brilliant way to reintroduce her to the general public and get them excited about her new sound.
