JustHoran Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 The women and gays better go drag that sexist douche on Twitter.
Joyride Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 well she is one of the executive producers for the series now so I guess her work wasn't bad.

They were insulting the shows on his resume (which includes Buffy) it’s even one of the shows mentioned in the OP. It doesn’t matter if he barely wrote for it or not.
Venice B Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 I'm 100% on her side but of course the things she said would backfire on her. No director/writer will want to work with an actress who insists on giving input on their work and refuses to work with the material they brought. It's sad, but Hollywood works like that. Actress like Jenna are deemed as "difficult"
Bones Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 Made some points plus she’s like the lesser hotter version of Aubrey Plaza so she definitely needs to get cancelled.
R`0`K`R Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 Eyeroll. An older white man telling a young woman of color not to speak her mind on creative choices of her roles.

You do know that she doesn’t have to get ‘cancelled’ in order for you to not consume content that she is in, don’t you? You have a choice…

If Ortega had not come back for the sequel, it would still be pulling these numbers, while Wednesday is squarely on her shoulders. i wouldn't be shocked if we found out that jenna ortega was a huge reason as to why the new scream movie was so successful so idk about that tbh
Pristine Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 she the definition of fad. call me when she has an Oscar nod

But the movie’s increase is down to the reception 5 got reviving the series, and this being a sequel only a year after with a great marketing campaign. The movie would be pulling the same numbers regardless; and horror is one of the most reliable genres post-COVID and has little to do with marquee names — Evil Dead Rises is likely to do franchise best numbers in April too.

What were me too and times up even about if it wasn’t about giving these usually powerless women a voice and a helping hand so that they can speak up and actually be involved in projects that they are more closely associated with than some 40 year old white straight male nobody writers who think they know how a young woman should behave better than an actual young woman does.
ohjulia Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 I think both are right, but she shouldn’t have said that on TV, just like we wouldn’t go on TV and talk crap about our bosses and expect to not have consequences.

Dolce Vita Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 people are really attacking her for having an opinion about her own show like

#Beautiful Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 so a bald white man who has never in this life worked with her is speaking on her situation without any actual knowledge of what had gone down while her show was being filmed. shocking
