Knew this was coming. Having a viral hit on TikTok will not make people check out your album. People are here for that song and that song only. People jumped to conclusions too quick purely off Flowers' success.

 

Same thing happened to Unholy. HUGE and viral song on TikTok, no one cared for Sam's album or Kim's follow up single.

I don't know why but I didn't expect much. After several hit songs that came from albums also kinda didn't do well. It's random these days what will shine and what won't it doesn't take away from her success. She will be fine.

Exactlyyy. Like u say the attention was fully ON HERRRR that even her catalog saw a massive boost. So this comes as a surprise to say the least. 

 

On another note I wouldnt say flowers was fully payola but it definitely benefited GREATLY by the autoplay payola. Its definitely massive on its own organically. It's not like Die For You remix where it's only smashing on Spotify thanx to autoplay. At least Flowers was smashing in every metric so it deserved its autoplay payola tbh.
