Flowers is a hit because of the breakup, it’s not surprising that she isn’t pulling huge numbers. Just because you have a hit song doesn’t mean your entire album is gonna smash.

No. I just said the album didn't have the hit sound GP wanted she was trying something new but Flowers accidentally became a hit so people expected the album to do the same too but the album wasn't even created for that from the start

Honestly this is very surprising

it felt like her moment

That’s so … jeez

I literally posted earlier so sure it would be a surprise. I truly thought but this isn’t even better than my expectations would’ve been before Flowers blew up. Absolute insanity.

Singles artists and songs not supporting aLbums existed a lot during the digital era. See: Katy. But like … it seems to be happening more frequently now during streaming too. Wow, I’m sad. Still love the album!

Esv is the new gloria , the only difference is that gloria is a good album :giraffe:

The album is not it despite Flowers being one of her best songs.

Flowers was a viral hit like Unholy. And Sam's album did like 39k in the US the first week.

We all know that a big hit doesn't mean big album sales for everyone.

But some people were hyping Miley/Setting her up just to drag her. No one can be that delusional to say she was bigger than Taylor :deadbanana2:

River having a MV, #1 on TTH, it being album release day, that Disney special and then not even doing half of Flower's debut numbers (which weren't even its peak numbers) :)

Idk how it wouldn't even cross your mind that there was/is something fishy going on with Flowers.

Olivia had properly released singles before the album came out and the album was also designed to be a hit from the start.

These numbers make it look like it isn’t even a question of the album being good/bad, people didn’t check out the album in the first place.

Her fans need to come up another made up stories QUICKLY

It will be extremely hard to top "Liam brought and slept with 20 different women in her house" though

It's bad for her...

I understand Flowers being a viral smash doesn't mean she's gonna have a smash album, but it did seem like the interest was focused on HER rather than something like abcdefu or Unholy where people only cared about song. So I thought she'll do at least 50m... but damn this is really bad.

The over-reactions in here :rip:

Miley didn't promote or hype album release like she hyped up Flowers + it's an indie album aka there are no friendly singles outside of like 3 songs, one of which is Flowers, so it won't receive any replay value cause its artistry is hard for average, casual listener to grasp. It is what it is, these are great numbers and Miley's biggest streaming debut day yet :clap3:

Why would you bring her into this? This is an entirely different situation. That was her debut single and then her debut album…Miley has been around for quite awhile now. Regardless, she still scored the biggest first day opening of her career :clap3:

Right + and the true sign of if it was as bad as people say is if the streams absolutely fell off on day 2 and collapsed by the end of the week. I swear these numbers mean no one even wanted to hear :doc:
