So in a way this album did around same if not for the massive hit that Flowers is. 

So , all the people who listened to Flowers so much didn't care about her album much at all.

That's not a good thing for a name that is widely known. 

The first mistake her and her team made was expecting Flowers to do all the promotion for the album. 
 

Second mistake was the album. It’s just middle of the road, terribly mixed, and doesn’t know of it wants to be a country ballad album or a laidback chill album. The AM/PM idea is just very much unrealised. so much so I can understand why @BlackoutZone had a hard time believing it until Miley mentioned it herself. 
 

Third mistake was not releasing Taste of My Own as the second single. It’s better than every song on this album and fits the country/chill LA vibe perfectly.

Same thing happened to Unholy. HUGE and viral song on TikTok, no one compared for Sam's album or Kim's follow up single.

It's so weird that an artist can release a smash hit single yet have people not care about the album at all, especially from an established act like Miley. It's not like she's a faceless one-hit wonder like Tones and I or GAYLE. I know this has happened before (JLo's 2011 album Love? comes to mind) but with streaming it's easier than ever to access albums so you'd think this wouldn't be the case anymore.

I’m not sure it is tbh. Spotify has changed recently and Saturdays are not showing the same trend they had a while ago. By looking at the numbers it seems a good hold, by looking at the positions it doesn’t. Let’s see tomorrow

Is this filtered and in total? If so, it's less than 30% down from Friday, which is ok. Subpar overall but not a bad drop in itself

For me the overall numbers are not even that bad... As the album is pretty few songs... 

 

But the worst thing by far is that almost half of its total streams come from the same song... 

 

That is atrocious.

I think the drop isn't that bad, but the problem is day 1 was so bad that dropping from that will look bad no matter what.

Planet her did 29.3M first day then 23.5M second day (20% drop). Future Nostalgia did 29.2M first day 24.4M second day (16% drop)

you are not factoring in the growth of Spotify over the years - i.e. you should 'inflation adjust' previous releases. Since FN was released, Spotifys users base increased by 44%, 20% for PH. So comparing streaming figures of 2023 with releases from previous years does not give you the right picture since the number of spotify users inflated by so much. It is like comparing physical sales from 2015 to sales this year.

They are not random months. It just shows that Midnights reached the same milestone (4B) faster than Harry’s House did hence why it is bigger. 

 

Days to 4 Billion streams 

Midnights - 141 days

Harry’s House - 209 days (250 days without pre-release streams)
