OT: I expected 35-40M, so yea this is pretty underwhelming. Imagine if Flowers wasn’t as big as it is

Absolutely tragic but also expected?

I was really surprised when Flowers smashed because Miley has pretty much been a non-factor musically for the past 10 years. This proves that Flowers was just a fluke, maybe a payola-fueled fluke.

Anyway, back to irrelevancy she goes.

I'm 100% convinced payola was involved. She's been flopping/underperforming for 10 years and suddenly, out of nowhere, she's having those massive numbers the very first day the song came out? It was always questionable from the beginning. But of course that didn't stop ATRL from bandwagoning her for no reason :toofunny3:

at least those bases are consistent on ruining threads that don’t concern them

I wonder after seeing Joji, Sam Smith, and Miley's albums flop after having a huge viral lead single months earlier, if more artists are going to take the Drake, Future, etc. route and just release albums without a lead single ahead of time. It seems like all the big albums (except for Morgan) nowadays are just released with no lead.

Just saw you on twitter with this lame ass theory as well. Harry's House is outstreaming Midnights standard daily (both 13 tracks) despite being 6 months older. And it debuted with 98.4m.

You replied to people pointing that out "but As It Was does most of the streams" which is fundamentally wrong. As It Was does 4M+/- and Harry's House does 10M+. Midnights has Anti-Hero which does 3M+/- and also does 10M (slightly less). So Harry's House is doing incredibly similar numbers to Midnights despite being 6 months older (10/11 months vs 4/5), and its lead single is doing better and is more stable than Anti-Hero.

Including Sza in this was also really weird, because Sza isn't even with Columbia, she's with RCA. And to that you replied "but RCA is under Sony" :skull: which is a ridiculous statement because Miley went from having no support on her career with RCA to finally having decent support with Columbia. And not to mention that SOS outstreams Midnights 3AM (both have a very similar amount of tracks with SOS having 23 and Midnights having 20)

Taylor Swift fans of all people coming up with conspiracy theories about labels doing payola has to be peak hipocrisy.

Miley did the same numbers with ESV than she did with PH if you take away Flowers, and that's with PH having a longer tracklist. There's nothing sus at all.

Y'all are this obsessed on here? Enough to bring up people's social media? Damn

Fr tho most of the haters I see in this thread are Swifties, y’all really hate any female that isn’t Taylor huh?

ot: These numbers aren’t even bad like y’all are over exaggerating :rip:

To put in perspective FN did 29M streams first day and this 27.7M

I believe she’s gonna have longevity and perhaps a similar trajectory to FN if things are planned out well

But anyways big numbers or not I’m still gonna stan ESV because this is her best album and none of you pathetic OMHs will convince me otherwise

Not me getting a WP for this :rip:

Ot: Predictions are over 115k, yall judged first day streams too quickly methinks :heart2:
