1. Wake up at 4am

2. Take cold showers

Shares will drop massively in the coming week, so if you're able to pull them out temporarily, then yeah. Depends on how you bank but there's only a small charge in Australia; I assume the same is true for you.

Last tweet should be removed since it’s kind of out of context and about Ukraine, but still don’t feel sorry for these losers

Some of you are vile and nasty. This is nothing to clap for and/or celebrate. A lot of people effectively lost the money they've been accumulating all their lives - imagine how this will affect families and lives. What's with this hostility towards people who work in tech? :biblio:

"Small businesses". A small business is a mom and pop convenience store who need to sell full stock to cover expenses so that they can pay the mortgage on their one and only moderately-sized single family home.

People piloting their first big tech start-up's are not "small businesses". Deposits under $250k are literally insured.

No one is basking in anyone's misery. Wealthy people with lots of money made huge mistakes with said money, taking giant risks, and it's reasonable that people do not want the government to bail these entities out.

I was thinking the same thing. I get the whole "eat the rich" mentality but a lot of regular families are terrified of not having access to their money. These people have bills to pay and families to support. :dancehall:

How does that even happen

Posted

having more than 250k in a bank does not make you a rich dude

imagine celebrating the fact that people will lose their money and that employees won't get their salaries because many small to medium-sized businesses will go bankrupt?? and ignoring the fact that this will deepen the economic crisis worldwide just because you've read on twitter that anyone who isn't below the poverty line is bad and we should EAT THE RICH

some people on this forum are absolute douchebags and need a reality check asap

Exactly. Obviously no one supports the big CEOs who make huge profits while their employees struggle, but this isn't about mega-wealthy people. These are still 9 to 5 working citizens who have families to support, mortgages to pay, etc. Laughing at this is inhumane.

i wasnt clapping or celebrating for the poor employees who have to experience this mess. let's hope that the government does the right thing and bails out all the employees but not the CEO's etc.

I was clapping for downfall of most startups/rich men crying as they are shams and scams. The majority of money like 99% will still be stashed away for the extremely rich folks and now it's all gone.

The way this came back to bite them when they are fighting so hard to stop student loan forgiveness. :deadbanana2:
